Types of Hunting Licenses

Alabama Hunting Licenses

  • License must be ordered prior to your hunt in order to have it with you upon arrival to lodge!
  • Hunters are required to have an All Game Hunting License and a Harvest Record License. 

Alabama Resident: 

A resident is a person who has lived in Alabama for at least 90 days and has a valid Driver’s license or ID card.

All Alabama residents ages 16-64 must have a resident hunting license. Visit Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website for more details and exemptions.

Non-Resident: 

All non-residents age 16 and older must have a non-resident hunting license. Non-residents must purchase a non-resident hunting license even if they own land in Alabama.

Youth Hunting License:

Alabama residents and non-residents age 15 or younger are not required to have a hunting license. See the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website for more details. 

Senior Hunting License:

Alabama residents age 65 or older are not required to have a hunting license. 

Disability License:

Alabama residents who are permanently 100% disabled may be eligible for the Physically Disabled Hunting License.

Military and Veteran License:

Active-duty military members stationed for a minimum of 30 days in Alabama are eligible to purchase a resident hunting license. Please note that Alabama residents visiting home on military leave are exempt from the state license requirement but are still required to have appropriate hunting permits and tags.

Resident veterans with a disability are eligible for the Annual Military Veteran’s Appreciation Hunting License. Please see Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources website for more details.

Florida Hunting Licenses

  • License must be ordered prior to your hunt in order to have it with you upon arrival to lodge!
  • Hunters are required to have a Florida Hunting License, Archery Season Permit, Deer Permit, Turkey Permit, Migratory Bird Permit, Alligator trapping license/permit.

Florida Resident:

A resident is a person who declares Florida as his or her state of residency and has a valid Florida’s drivers license or ID card.

All Florida residents ages 16-64 must have a resident hunting license. Please note additional permits may be required to hunt other game species. Visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission website for more information.

Non-Resident: 

All non-residents age 16 and older must have a non-resident hunting license. Additional permits and tags may be required to hunt other species.

Military and Veteran License: 

Active-duty military members stationed in Florida may purchase a resident hunting license. Please note that active-duty military members on leave who are returning home are not required to have a hunting license, and their military leave must be less than 30 days.

Get Florida Hunting License

Click “Create Account” and complete the necessary fields, entering your Date of Birth, Last Name, and Last Four of Your Social Security Number.

Click on “Continue” and you’ll be led to a personal information form to fill out. Once the form is completed click on “Create Customer” and then certify your information. You will be emailed a Customer ID number and receive access to browse and purchase hunting licenses & permits.
